Grande Cache is a Hamlet adjacent to some of the most beautiful National and Provincial Parks in the Canadian Rockies. It has a current population between 2,000 and 3,200 people. The Hamlet has municipal water, sewer, electric, high speed internet and hiking trails in and around the Canadian Rockies.
My name is Chuck O'Neal and I have renovated and built affordable housing for over 26 years. My wife and I have travelled around the globe in search of beautiful places to visit and renew our souls. At each town along the way we have found a common problem exists. The people who work in the towns where these beautiful places can be found are being displaced by a shortage of housing made worse by homes being bought up and rented out as short term rentals.
As a result, the people who work in the towns, the ones that make it such a pleasant place to visit, cannot afford to live where they work.
Our solution to this problem is to find a town within reasonable commuting distance, secure housing there and offer the workforce looking for long term rentals a reliable shuttle to and from the town in which they work. Grande Cache needs residents. Workers in Jasper need affordable housing. We are simply putting the two together.
Running two times per day, this shuttle would transport the long term tenants in our homes to Jasper with a stop in Hinton.
Spirit Island is just one of the picturesque locations just outside of Jasper.
This photo was taken from the window of the master bedroom in the condo which you can use when you visit Grande Cache every year to check on your investment.
Sunwapta Falls is just off the Icefields Parkway, south of Jasper.
Imagine driving past this view everyday on your way to work.
Arguably one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
